~ please excuse the photos today, Blogger seriously wouldn't let them line up today ~
Long time no see – my apologies
about that. I currently have a serious case of blogging withdrawal symptoms,
having not posted in f o r e v e r, but I promise I have good excuses. Lots has
happened recently, including a trip to Snowdonia (luckily I didn’t fall off
Snowdon, phew), a visit to Cardiff University, seeing the 1975 live at the
Royal Albert Hall, finally getting Australian citizenship and visiting Live
Magazine in Brixton. And to top all of that, I just got home yesterday from visiting family up in Edinburgh. Needless to say, it has been a chaotic month, but one that I
have really enjoyed. Once my upcoming exams are over (June 3rd I am
seriously looking forward to you) I
think I’ll do a big ‘spring catch up’ post, with photos and all...the full
schbang.
As for the outfit – long time
readers of fashion galaxies xo will know that I’ve almost worn this top since
purchasing it from Dorothy Perkins in Cardiff around eighteen months ago. It’s
the subtle peplum style that I like the most: it combines free-flowing material
and the ability to eat a large meal whilst wearing it and not looking 672359%
too bloated and, well...unflattering. The black Joni jeans from Topshop are a
purchase from the beginning of the Easter holidays, so at two weeks old they’re
a new addition to my wardrobe. I’m so pleased to have gone up a size as they’re
my favourite jeans ever (the ASOS Ridley’s that I confessed my love for here
last year, are a close second). It means I fit in many more pairs now so
increased opportunities to cover my legs with soft denim goodness = a very
pleased Thalia. The silver mini Casio watch I bought off ASOS almost two years
ago is still my time-telling device of choice (albeit my only choice), I just
love how tiny it is – it makes my small wrists look somewhat normal and that is
something I appreciate lots. On my nails I’m wearing one of Barry M’s genius
new pastel gelly shades, Sugar Apple. I already liked the gelly formula, having
picked up two over the course of last year, but the new ones are even better
formula-wise in my opinion. I also have the pink one, Rose Hip, and am waiting for payday so I can take advantage of Boots' famous 3 for 2 deal... I will report back soon with my findings.
Just to let you know, I have
recently acquired a new email address as I’m trying to get my (electronic) life
together so from now on I’ll be contactable at thalia.fairweather@gmail.com.
I’ve updated my contact page and over time I’m transferring all of the
important bits from my old email over to here. If any of you are Blogger
whizzes please please please could you let me know if you can change the email
linked to your blog: I’d really like to transfer it over safely. I asked on
Twitter and had someone inform me of how they accidentally deleted their blog
whilst trying to do it, so I definitely want to take that into account and not
do anything too risky. This blog is my
baby, after all.
As I mentioned earlier, I have
exams until June 3rd so until then posts will be on the limited
side. I’m so excited for what this summer will bring though – travelling,
opportunities and positive vibes. Optimism is the best, I promise you.
I hope you all have had a lovely
Easter weekend,
Thalia

now playing: clean bandit ft sharna bass - extraordinary
I switched my blog to a new email by 'adding a new author' which you can find under 'settings' and then 'permissions', and adding my new email address there. I then logged in using my new account, and deleted the old 'author' which had my old email address. So the only author left on my blog was my new email address. I hope that made sense! It didn't have any effect on my blog whatsoever other than letting me run it from my new account :)

thank you so much Megan! Will definitely give that a try xxx
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your loss, Thalia. Big internet hugs to you, dear xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh man =( I'm so sorry to hear about that. And what a nice photo. Its great that you have nice memories to hold onto of your Grandad =]
ReplyDeleteAnd I would also recommend, in addition to Megan, that you backup your blog even so. Just in case. Good luck with your reorganisation; I'm doing something of the sort myself.
One last thing - your peplum top is very pretty.
Omg you saw the 1975!! I only managed to catch the end of their set at Reading last year but the atmosphere was amazing and I've wanted to see them ever since! I'm so jealous!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your Grandad, the photo of you both is lovelyxx
You look lovely! x
